Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation to include but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.

Job Description:

Provide in-service engineering in support of integrated combat systems and component weapons and sensors. Perform, plan, participate, analyze, and prepare S10000 technical data products for new acquisition, sustainment, and modernization. Perform engineering analyses and provide technically sound courses of action in developing Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM) in accordance with S1000D Specification 4.0 and 4.1. Perform S1000D technical manual development which involves applying elements to XML data modules adhering to NAVSEA Business Rules & Information Sets according to S10000 issue specifications. Developing data modules, data module coding assignments and authoring/troubleshooting XML data adhering to S1000D Tagging and Authoring Guidelines for Standard NAVSEA Integrated Publishing Process (SNIPP).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• Active U.S. Security Clearance level Secret or higher
• Minimum of 1 year of experience authoring XML Data
• Minimum of 1 year of experience Life Cycle Management Software
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with Project Tracking and/or Workflow Management Software
• Experience in Microsoft products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and Outlook).
• Experience with desktop publishing software designed automate authoring and publishing processes for technical documentation (e.g. PTC Arbotext, Adobe Frame Maker).
• Bachelor’s degree
• Can travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Understanding of Navy Technical Data Products
• Understanding of Navy Administrative and Security Protocols
• S1000D Specification Experience
• Experience with JIRA project and workflow management
• IETM Development/Production Experience
• Admin experience with Common Source Data Base repository (e.g. Contenta, PTC Windchill, Corena, SDL)
