Alturas Analytics is seeking a detail-oriented and scientifically minded Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will write, revise, and proofread technical documents. You will ensure all materials are clear, consistent, and meet both internal standards and client requirements. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and a keen eye for accuracy. Position Summary:

The Technical Writer is responsible for writing, updating, editing, and proofreading technical reports and other regulatory related and required documents.


Essential Duties and Tasks:

  • Prepare final reports per Alturas Analytics, Inc. and client guidelines including spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, etc. 
  • Verifies that the raw data used in the final report was captured correctly for the final report preparation
  • Works closely with the project lead and/or personnel responsible for the generation of a specific report to ensure timelines and quality issues are addressed
  • May prepare other technical documents as requested

Additional Duties and Tasks:

  • May perform QC review of reports if needed
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (physical, biological or chemistry science preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of complete MS Office suite
  • Excellent knowledge of complete Adobe Acrobat suite
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify the appropriate personnel for this position

Nice-to-Have

  • One to three years of technical or professional writing experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in a chemistry or bioanalytical laboratory testing facility is preferred

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills in word processing to prepare reports and correspondence
  • Ability to work accurately when under pressure to meet deadlines
