Technical Writer

As a Technical Writer at Viking Range, you will be responsible for creating precise instructions that convey complex technical information clearly and effectively. Your work will play a crucial role in enhancing our product manuals, assembly instructions, and promotional content.  

Essential Job Results: 

• Develop clear and concise technical instructions for product manuals, assembly guides, FAQS, and other documents.
• Collaborate with safety team, engineers, designers, and product managers to understand product specifications and    requirements.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and accurate instructions.
• Test and update existing instructions as needed to reflect product changes or improvements.
• Edit and proofread product manuals, assembly guides, and other documents.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to Viking Range's brand standards and quality guidelines.
• Assist in the creation of marketing materials by providing technical information for website, two-page specs sheets, and other documents.
• Create script for video tutorials.
• Update and maintain library of technical terminology and documentation.
• Work closely with printers, illustrators, graphic designers and translators.
• Stay current with latest trends and developments in the industry.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree in English, writing, communications, curriculum development, or software/computer engineering
• Familiarity with luxury kitchen appliances and industry trends.
• Experience working with the printing industry and their standards and practices.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role, preferably in the appliance or manufacturing industry.
• Working knowledge of AI programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Teams and/or other collaborative software.
• Proficiency in software programs for authoring, graphic and presentation tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise instructions and documentation.
• Ability to communicate technical information to the average consumer and product installer. 
• Strong written communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Portfolio of technical writing samples for review.
