Job Title: Technical Documentation Specialist – Architecture, Cloud & Data Migration
Job Summary:
Seeking a Technical Documentation Specialist to support our Architecture, AWS, Azure-based cloud and data migration projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation related to cloud migration procedures, DevOps pipelines, business processes, system architecture, and end-user training guides. They should be experienced in technical writing, workflow documentation, and visualization tools such as Visio, Confluence, Lucidchart, and Jira.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document data and cloud migration procedures using Azure and hybrid environments.
- Maintain meeting minutes, sprint planning notes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Create user training guides with flowcharts, infrastructure diagrams, SQL traceability diagrams, and process maps.
- Work with Solution Architects and SMEs to develop design templates, business requirements documents (BRDs), and statement-of-work (SOW) documents.
- Develop “How-To” manuals, technical white papers, and user guides for internal and external users.
- Maintain version control and publish documents on SharePoint or other document repositories.
- Assist IT consultants and project managers in creating resumes, flyers, brochures, and other business communication materials.
- Utilize data tools to analyze and troubleshoot data issues within business processes.
- Support workflow engineering efforts, including business process modeling and system architecture visualization.
- Modify and maintain key documents such as vendor technical requirements, application architecture review questionnaires, and position papers.
- Create design principles documentation outlining standard infrastructure structures for IT teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud migration documentation, particularly with Azure.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps tools, SQL scripts, and cloud software applications.
- Proficiency in technical writing tools: Visio, Confluence, LucidChart, Jira, FrameMaker, and Wikis.
- Experience with business process documentation and creating infrastructure/interface diagrams.
- Strong communication skills for working with senior management, architects, and business units.
- Experience in workflow engineering, business process flows, and system design documentation.
- Ability to analyze and document database logic, including stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers.
- Familiarity with publishing and maintaining documentation on platforms like SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Azure, DevOps, or Technical Writing are a plus.
- Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and backlog management.
- Strong proofreading and editing skills, including experience with court documents, business letters, and requirement specifications.
